- Arrive to the session room at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the session.
- All session rooms will be equipped with a podium with a microphone, a slide advancer, LCD projector, electronic red pointer system, and two session chairs to help keep the session running on time.
During your presentation:
- Session chairs will give a brief introduction for each presentation
- Session Chairs will facilitate Q&A.
Tips for MAC users to ensure your PowerPoint will play on a PC:
- Use universal fonts such as Arial, Times New Roman, Courier New, Verdana, Tahoma, Trebuchet MS, Calibri, etc. Do not use Mac specific fonts.
- Be sure to embed your photos, videos, graphics, etc by using the insert option. Do not copy and paste.
- Avoid using PICT graphics. GIF, PNG, and JPG work best. For illustrations, use WMF or EMF files.
- Use universal video and sound formats. Windows can't play videos that Macs support natively. Convert your MOV files to AVI or MPEG formats to use them successfully under multiple operating systems. Likewise, use WAV or MP3 files for sound effects and audio, rather than Mac-native AIFF files.
- Create/run your PowerPoint in Compatibility Mode. https://artofpresentations.com/what-is-compatibility-mode-in-powerpoint/
