We are still accepting abstracts. Please submit by November 9 - once the spaces are filled, we will no longer be able to accept new submissions. Any abstract received after November 2 will only be considered for a poster presentation.
You are invited to submit abstracts, and now that it is past November 2, you can only indicate poster presentation. Abstracts are expected to contain only new and unpublished material, and should only be submitted if the senior author (PI) plans to attend the meeting and present the work.
Abstracts will appear on the web and in the program exactly as submitted, i.e., no corrections, additions, revisions or deletions will be made by the IZFS staff. Revisions and corrections may be made by the author online after submission, but only up to November 1, 2018. Please proof your text carefully before submitting. If any changes need to be made please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (844) 216-2079.
Abstracts should not exceed 1,800 characters (including spaces). This does not include the title or authors. Authors should be entered individually as directed within the submission system.
Because platform presentation requests exceed platform presentations slots, authors should be prepared to present a poster if their abstract is not selected for a platform presentation.
A confirmation will be emailed to you after a successful submission. Confirmation of abstract receipt will include an abstract control number and the abstract title. If you do not receive a confirmation immediately after you submit, your abstract was not successfully submitted.
All abstracts must be submitted by midnight EST on October 27, 2018. Authors will be notified regarding their acceptance into the meeting on October 30, 2018, and will then have until November 11, 2018 to register for the meeting.
If registration and travel to this meeting are a financial burden to your lab/department, please feel free to complete the form found here: https://www.izfs.org/page/TravelAwards. You may request reimbursement of all or part of your registration fee, accommodations, and travel. You are not guaranteed of receiving the amount you ask for on the application. Deadline to apply for financial assistance is November 15.
The goal is to supplement funding for individuals who would otherwise be unable to attend the meeting. Please make all efforts to secure your own funding.
Please note: Only current members of the Society for Developmental Biology (SDB) members are eligible for SDB funds.
Junior investigators in need are especially encouraged to apply. Additional funding from the Company of Biologists will support early stage investigators (those within five years of their first independent appointment).
