Opportunity for Collaboration (Shelf-screen) in Kawakami Lab
Dear Zebrafish Researchers,
My lab has generated more than 1,700 transgenic fish lines that express Gal4 in specific organs, tissues and cells, which should be potentially useful for many purposes. You may look at these expression patterns partly on the web database (http://kawakami.lab.nig.ac.jp/ztrap/). Since the database contains only a couple of side-view images that were taken by a stereoscope during our routine screening, If you are interested in particular expression patterns, I want you to visit my lab, perform "shelf-screen", look at them by your eyes more precisely, and find lines that are potentially useful for your research.
Our institute provides an opportunity to support travel expenses from foreign countries to our institute. Please look at the web site of the institute.
The application system has been changed this year and you need to apply through the web page.
There are three types of collaboration grants: NIG-JOINT A (up to 200,000JPY for travel expense) , NIG-JOINT B (up to 1,000,000JPY for travel expenses and some research money), NIG-JOINT I (up to 500,000JPY for travel expenses for foreign researchers) . NIG-JOINT B (and NIG-JOINT I) are competitive. I encourage you to apply for NIG-JOINT A simultaneously.
This grant will support your visit between April 2020 and March 2021.
The deadline of the application is 9th December, 2019.
If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact me (email@example.com).
