Voting for the Tie-Breaking 2024 Board of Directors Election

The International Zebrafish Society (IZFS) held its annual election for its Board of Directors May 13-27, 2024. The ballots cast at the annual election resulted in a tie between Pascale Bomont, PhD and Yaniv M. Elkouby, PhD for election to the third director seat of the Europe & West Asia Region.

Pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 181.0708 and Section 4.4 of IZFS’s Bylaws, IZFS is distributing this 2024 Official Run-off Ballot for the International Zebrafish Society Board of Directors to elect the third and final Director for the Europe & West Asia Region.

Voting for the 2024 IZFS Europe & West Asia Regional Representative is taking place online June 10, 2024 through June 24, 2024. All votes must be cast by 11:59 P.M. CDT Time on June 24, 2024, to be counted.

The IZFS Bylaws require that 25% of members vote in order to have a valid election. It is vital that you cast your vote in this important tie-breaking election. A majority vote will determine the representative
