Primary Category: Research
Type of Position: Research Technician

Description & Details:

The Sagasti Lab at UCLA is seeking to hire a Staff Research Associate (i.e., research technician) to contribute to our studies of how neurons and migratory cells in the skin regulate the properties of the epithelial cells that they migrate between. The candidate will initially work with a post-doc to bring a mature project to completion, and then independently to follow up exciting new findings. This would be an ideal position for a graduating undergrad who is seeking a one-year position.

The ideal candidate would have some experience working with zebrafish, confocal imaging, data/image analysis with FIJI, and basic molecular biology. They don’t have to be an expert at these approaches, but some basic familiarity is desired. More importantly, the ideal candidate will have a passion for cell biology and be eager to contribute to our lab social and intellectual community.
