The Rosowski Lab in the Department of Biological Sciences at Clemson University is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to work on host-pathogen interactions. Our lab is aims to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms through which innate immune cells control fungal infection and how these pathways differ between different innate immune cell types. The Rosowski lab is also affliated with the Eukaryotic Pathogen Innovation Center (EPIC) and Clemson University and uses the larval zebrafish host model and a variety of genetic, molecular biology, and imaging techniques to investigate questions in host-microbe biology. Successful applicants will participate in NIH-funded projects. The position is for at least two years with a potential for renewal.


Applicants should have a PhD in molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, microbiology, or a related field; peer-reviewed publications; and motivation to lead independent research projects. Preference will be given to individuals with experience with animal models, microbial culture, genetic techniques, and/or microscopy Strong candidates will demonstrate evidence of independence, have effective oral and written communication skills, and possess the ability to collaborate and mentor individuals at diverse stages of their careers including undergraduate and graduate students.
