The Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research in Bad Nauheim is one of the leading research institutes in the field of biomedical research with a focus on cell biology, stem cell research and pharmacology.  The institute consists of 4 departments and 5 further research groups.  About 350 people are employed at the institute.

The position is available from January 2021 and is initially for a fixed period of time

Tasks include:

  • supporting the scientific staff in the field of molecular biology, animal experiments (zebrafish and mouse), histological and cell biological methods
  • the preparation and provision of reagents and solutions for the scientific staff
  • general laboratory organization
  • administrative support

Your profile:

  • successfully completed training as technical assistant (BTA/MTA/PTA/CTA)
  • practical experience with at least one of the above methods (preferably cell culture techniques or molecular biological methods) is an advantage
  • very good communication skills in English

We are looking for a personality with a high degree of responsibility, initiative, flexibility and enjoyment in working in a young dynamic international team of scientists and technical assistants.  The future position holder will complement a team of currently seven experienced technical assistants.
