The Division of Biosciences has an outstanding international reputation, ranking 8th in the QS World University Rankings for biological sciences. We host a community of over 500 staff covering a diverse portfolio from protein interactions to cell function, organism development, genetics, population studies, to ecology and the environment. Much of our research crosses traditional boundaries, and we sit at the nexus of a broad range of interdisciplinary collaborations across UCL Our activity is underpinned by high calibre science technology platforms and state of the art equipment, and a substantial number of postgraduate research students integrated within doctoral research programmes. The Division offers a range of undergraduate programmes and an expanding number of Masters Programmes. Research is integrated into our degrees giving students the opportunity to experience original contributions to their field of study.

To provide technical support and research related activities by assisting with experimental procedures and analysis of results within Zebrafish UCL (http://zebrafishucl.org/wilson-lab; http://zebrafishucl.org/tuschl). The successful applicant will assist the lab with maintenance of various zebrafish lines, working on a daily basis with adult fish. The post is available from 1 January 2024 until 31 December 2024 as a fixed term contract.

 

Qualifications:

BSc in biomedicine or related subject is essential as is the understanding of biochemistry, pharmacology and genetics and the ability to write up results of experiments. A full list of the essential and desirable criteria is listed in the attached job description.
