|Type of Position:||M.Sc. or Ph.D. student|
Description & Details:
The Collins Lab (https://medicine.usask.ca/profiles/anatomy-physiology-pharmacology/michelle-collins.php) is seeking motivated and enthusiastic graduate students to study cardiac development and disease. We are particularly interested in modelling human cardiac diseases, like cardiac arrhythmias, to elucidate mechanisms of disease.
The Collins lab is located in the Imaging and Development Cluster (https://research-groups.usask.ca/imagingdevelopmentcluster/index.php) at the University of Saskatchewan. Our lab is situated in an open lab setting, integrating many researchers in a collaborative and interactive environment. The Department of Anatomy, Physiology, and Pharmacology has investigators spanning a breadth of biomedically-relevant topics (more information can be found here: https://grad.usask.ca/programs/anatomy-physiology-pharmacology.php).
Applicants should have training in molecular biology, genetics, and/or cell biology. Previous experience using zebrafish or imaging techniques is highly valued.
