The Departments of Biological Sciences and Communication Sciences and Disorders at Wayne State University invite applications for a joint full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning August 18, 2026. We seek a scholar who will teach effectively and lead an innovative, externally funded research program in hearing and/or audiological sciences, using human or animal models.

Research programs that foster collaboration between the Departments of Biological Sciences and Communication Sciences and Disorders are prioritized. Areas that complement our existing research in neuroscience and bench-to-bedside approaches are particularly welcome.

PhD in Biological Sciences, Auditory/Audiological Sciences, or related field (required)

Demonstrated potential for high-quality research and effective undergraduate and graduate teaching
